BIOGRAPHY Gita Savitri Devi

Gita Savitri Devi, she is one of the inspirational person that I’ve adore since Junior High. Who is she actually? Born on July 28, 1992, in Indonesia, Gita Savitri was just an ordinary girl and grew up to become one of the most successful Youtuber in Indonesia. Most of the content in her youtube channel involves her opinions on politic issues, and interesting vlogs.

She was known for her clever personality. Before she was having college in Germany, she has already accepted in FSRD ITB, but she prefered to continue her education abroad. In 30 Oktober 2010, she went to Berlin for the first time. You guys might wonder how she adapted in a foreign country right? By her experience there, she stated that Germans in her college were pretty anti-social, but the key to adapt there is by being friendly. She said that it is important to manage time, because she had to separate her time for work, and having college at the same time. She chose Chemistry major in Freie University, and finally earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at 2017. Now, she still lives in Germany to continue her master degree in Chemistry. Even though she was so busy on being a college student, she intended to fill her spare time with something beneficial for people, so she decided to make videos for youtube.

Gita Savitri started being a content creator since 2010. However, her content was just about music, and singing covers. Then, her content had varied along time, and she gained more subscribers since then. Now, Gita doesn't have a part time job anymore, because she already gained profit from youtube. Despite her youtube channel, she also writes articles in her blog ‘A Cup Of Tea’ about her prespective on issues.

She gained about 100 million rupiah monthly from her videos.

Gita is a talented singer as well. She made her first single with Paul that was titled ‘Seandainya’ in May 2017. For the reason that she enjoyed writing as a method to share her prespectives, she published her first book “Rentang Kisah” at 2017 and it was one of the best-seller books in Gramedia. She had been invited to several countries such as Turkey, Singapore, Dubai, etc from some sponsorships such as Wardah, and by Youtube company for YouTube: Creators For Change gathering event.

I adore Gitasav because of her flame of never giving up. Although she lived in Germany and became a minority because she was a muslim, she kept wearing her hijab, and mantain her faith. I admire her effort for achieving education in Germany, so that she had to live by her own and became an independent woman. Her youtube content wasn’t like the other youtubers’ in Indonesia; I conclude that she was very considerate for the issues that were happening in Indonesia, and I was so happy to hear her open-minded opinions in her youtube videos. She had inspire me to do good and be beneficial to others; as well as being aware for what was going on, and contribute to be an open minded person. She inspire me to consider education as a guide, and provisions to live our lifes.
