Tur Budaya 2019: Bali Trip!

Last week, my batch (3'2020) went to Bali. Our trip was a part of Culture Tour (Tur Budaya) program from my school and the students' council in SMAN 3 Bandung. Our trip began on Sunday,17 March 2019. We went to Husein Airport and went to Ngurah Rai Airport by flight. What made us wrought-up was the airport's regulation. The maximum weight of the cabin for each persons' suitcase was 7kg. If we exceeded the limit, we have to buy extra luggage for 300.000 rupiah which was very expensive. I and my friends had to weigh our bags first before joining the check-in queue in case our bags exceed the limit, but the airport officer forbids us to do so. He told us to join the queue instead. Well, some of my friends even move their clothes from their suitcase to their backpack so that their suitcases could fit in the cabin. After we got our boarding pass from the check-in queue, we waited in the waiting room. We were so excited. We can't wait to get into the airplane.  Husein...

My Dream

I'm 16 years old, I was born in Cimahi, and my parents decided to name me as Feodora Putri Humaira. 'Feodora' was derived from Greek language, it means God's blessing, Putri was derived from Indonesian language that means a girl; and 'Humaira' was actually a nickname that Rasulullah (peace be upon him) gave to Aisya. My parents hoped that I as an individual; could be a girl that depict the one of the best Muslima that ever lived, Aisya. I'm the only child, well you could potray me as a spoon-fed girl because of that fact; but YES, I admit that I was a spoiled girl back then. As I had grown up, I realised that I need to change. I need to be more independent and to make my parents' aspiration when I was born; to be a reality. I need to be a figure that I was named for. From that point, I started to change my mindset to get out from my comfort zone. Usually in my leisure time, I only did non-productive things; for instance: scrolling instagram timeline, p...

Pilgrimage Blog

This article was an alternate for the Edu Passion 2019 report task because I didn't have the time to visit and interview the stand, and the university presentation due to my hectic tasks I have as the part of the committee of the event. I wrote this because I was so content to share my story about my trip, because not everyone really knew about the places that I went before. I was so grateful that I got the opportunity to have these valuable experiences from the trip. Alhamdulillah. I went to Soekarno Hatta International Airport right after I finished the Bakti Desa program. I felt so exhausted, weary, and I just want to take a rest, BUT I CAN'T:') because I had to go to Jakarta by car for 2 hours on 6 January 2019. Soon after my parents and I arrived in Soetta Airport at night, we met our pilgrim companions from Bandung, and we went inside the airport to check in. We went to Changi Airport at Singapore by plane for about 2 hours. After we arrived, we gathered with our pi...

Bakti Desa Programme

Bakti desa was a program from my school. It was an obligatory for every 11th grade student to join the program. The program started at 3rd January 2019 until 5th January 2019. The first day was the day we went to the Cibereum Village by angkutan umum. The trip spent 3 hours. Then, we were divided into groups, and each groups were entrusted with foster parents. Then, on the second day, we spent all day to help our foster parents to work. My foster parents worked as a farmer, so me and my friends helped them to crop the grass, and harvest the crops. It was tiring, but fun at the same time. Then we need to attend a farming training. We learned how to plant crops, plow the land with a tractor, and many else. We also did a charity event for the villagers. We shared food, cloth, and books to them. On the last day, we need to finish the program, so we had to say goodbye to our foster parents. Our foster parents were really kind and caring, we were so sad to be apart from them. Bakti desa remi...

Debate and Opinion

So last week, we did an amateur debate session with Mr. Maul! Yeaay! We were divided into 7 groups, and each of the groups had to choose one topic to discuss and turn it into a debate motion. There’s a lot of topics in the newspaper tho, but here’s the review of our debate/discussion! 1st group’s topic: “Tanah Abang Skybridge to be Built with Rp.50 billion fund” Pro:  • Pedestrians will walk more quickly and the trip will not be so tiring because they don’t have to walk in a far distance by using the skybridge.  • Increase the income of the angkot drivers, and decrease the use of private vehicles because of the skybridge. The risk of traffic jams would be decreased too. Cons: • The cost consists of Rp.50 billion fund is too much, the government could use the fund to increase the facilities in the lower quality cities or village that needs more help. My Opinion: From my prespective, the skybridge’s fund should be minimalized because it costs too much. Bu...
